“ The only athletic sport I ever mastered was backgammon. ”
Douglas William Jerrold

On Wednesday April 23rd our inaugural Backgammon and Wax night took place celebrating 2 of our favorite things - records and the wonderful game of backgammon.
With 32 players descending upon the rooftop of Soho's Century Club from all realms of the creative industry the competition was fierce but friendly!
Doubles were thrown, risks were taken, defeat was snatched from the jaws of victory and victory from the jaws of defeat.
Hosted with panache by actor, rapper, comedian and all round top fella Doc Brown and soundtracked by some of our favorite DJ's from the industry and beyond the vibes were on point.

The brief was simple. Come for the game, stay for the company. There were drinks, backgammon boards on every table, and a whole lot of questionable tactics fling about. The room buzzed with healthy competition and a sense of curiosity, as seasoned players and total beginners squared off across the boards.

There were winners. There were losers. There were a few people who still didn't quite know how to play by the end of it. But most importantly, there was a whole lot of fun.
Thanks to everyone who came, played, drank and laughed with us!
