Hear hear! To ad-land, brand-land, audiophiles, and everyone in between; DLMDD believe it’s time we paid homage, gave thanks, and raised our glasses, to the powerful forces that are weaved into our every day: Sound and Music.

Celebrating the Power of Sound and Music is at the core of DLMDD’s ethos.

The Sound is home to everything that lies at the blossoming intersection of sound, music, brands, creative agencies and beyond.

And not just information – but celebration. A celebration of music’s influence, dominance, and capabilities, in all of its many formats.   

Here’s a taster menu of what’s to come.

The Brands

Brands continue to use music to connect and inspire.

The Sound is a platform to scream and shout about the most creative, interesting and innovative uses of audio and music coming from brands – like FitBit’s immense data-tracking ‘stress symphony’.

The Big Questions

Dedicated to digging deeper into the mystic science of sound and power of music, The Sound investigates questions like; are lyrics distracting when I’m trying to work? Are podcasts really taking over the world? Can music help me stick to my New Year’s Resolutions?

Investigation and speculation are centre stage in the biggest question sonic experts face at this time of the year: what are the big trends in the audio world for 2021? Earcons, AI, big data, and more – all explained in The Sound’s two-parter on future trends in sonic branding.

The Sound Of…

‘The Sound Of’ is a monthly playlist from DLMDD’s music consultants and audio experts. But not just any old playlists. No no. They’re for every niche occasion – like when you want to pipe your favourite overpriced coffee shop into your living room, or get your head down to top movie soundtracks to work to.

‘The Sound’ would be an ironic title without some actual sound, wouldn’t it?  

The Ad Roundup

The monthly ad roundup is exactly what it says on the tin – DLMDD’s favourite ads of the month, based on the most inventive, original and exciting uses of music and sound in ad-land.

The first roundup is live – our top picks of 2020. Bravo, Just Eat.

Who knows what this year will bring, but The Sound will be waiting to celebrate the power of sound and music at every turn.
